PROBLEM PIANIST

Pianists can experience a range of problems, which may include the following:

- Poor or uneven tone
- Weak or tense fingers
- Weak or tense wrists
- Aching back or shoulders

All of the above is due to bad technique and/or poor posture whilst sitting at the piano. Don't worry! It is easily remedied. In addition, other common problems are:

- Lack of confidence in reading in one particular clef (usually the bass clef)
- Boredom in studying scales and arpeggios or not understanding the relevance of them
- Difficulty in remembering sharps, flats and naturals

All of the above can be addressed using various methods of teaching and also by a willingness on behalf of the student to practice the disciplines to strengthen and improve them.
