EXAMS

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music is the preferred board. Exams take place 3 times a year (Spring, Summer and Winter) in Solihull. Accompaniment for singing exams is provided.

Exam grades range from Prep Test through to Grade 8; in addition diploma exams are offered for more advanced students. 

Exams are a good way for the student to utilise skills acquired in lessons for achieving exam success. It also enables them to be judged by an independent adjudicator outside of the usual lesson environment. However, students are under no obligation to take exams. 

However, Trinity Guildhall and London College of Music are suitable alternatives.
